Homeowner shoots burglars

Shreveport Police are investigating a shooting in which two brothers broke into a house and were shot by the homeowner.

Jeremy Ellison, 20, and Leonard Ellison, 24, both of Shreveport reportedly entered the home in the 500 block of Stoner about 11:15 p.m. when they were confronted by the homeowner, who shot both of them.

Both were taken to LSU Hospital, where Leonard died of his injury. Meanwhile, Jeremy is in critical condition. Police retrieved about $200 that was taken by the suspects during the robbery.

Jeremy is charged with armed robbery with a firearm. The homeowner has not been charged. The investigation continues.
