2 wanted for Grimmitt Drive Shooting
Shreveport Police are looking for two suspects in Friday night's shooting at the Grimmett Drive Apartments.
Richard "Little Richard" Baker, 20, and Wadelen "Sneaky" Sumlin, 30, both of Shreveport, are wanted for the shooting of two people in the 2100 block of Grimmett Drive.
The shooting happened at 7:48 p.m. Demetricus (correct spelling) Cortez Mitchell, 38, of Shreveport was found in an apartment shot in the chest. Meanwhile, Karen Davis, a black female whose age and address is unknown, was found shot in the lower leg. Both were taken to LSU Hospital with non life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The cause of the shooting is under investigation, but detectives were able to obtain enough information in the case to secure arrest warrants for Baker and Sumlin. Baker is wanted for attempted second degree murder. He is described as 6'3" tall, 180 pounds with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing all dark clothing and was armed with an assault-style weapon.
Sumlin is wanted for prinicipal to attempted second degree murder. He is about 5'7" tall, 190 pounds with a medium complexion. His clothing description is unknown. Photos of both are attached to this release.
