Street Closures imminent

The Shreveport Police Department is asking all motorists to stay off major thoroughfares and bridges if possible.

SPD is getting reports of problems in the usual problem areas -- basically anywhere there are large bridges and overpasses.

While we have no reports of specific road closures at this time, motorist are advised to stay at home if possible. If they must travel, plan routes carefully and make plenty of time of get to the destination.
