Fishing Camp

Shreveport Police Department will sponsor of fishing camp on Saturday, May 12, on Cross Lake.

The camp is free and open to children ages 6 to 13. It will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at Cross Lake Patrol on Municipal Pier Road off of the 5800 block of South Lakeshore Drive.

Children will learn about fishing and casting, as well as boating safety. There will be boat rides, wildlife and fish demonstrations and education about skin cancer prevention.

Anyone wanting to attend must register and complete a permission slip. To get a registration form, call 673-7236 or 673-6950.
