FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Police looking for Rape Suspect

A state statute about violent, wanted offenders allows the release of this juvenile's photo and name. His name is Calvin "C.J." Breakfield. His last known address is the 5300 block of Bienville. His photo is attached.

Shreveport Police Department has gotten an order to take into custody a 16-year-old male wanted for the aggravated rape of an 81-year-old woman that occurred this past weekend.

The youth, who was last seen this morning leaving a house on Bienville Street in Shreveport, is accused of raping, beating and robbing the woman in her home in the 2000 block of Corbitt Street.

The incident occurred at 5:30 p.m. Saturday when the juvenile reportedly asked the woman to use her phone. He then forced himself on her, beating her with his fist and then dragging her through the house. She was then sexually assaulted and robbed.

After the suspect left the house, the victim was able to call 911. Detectives immediately responded to conduct a neighborhood canvas and begin processing the scene.

The woman was taken to LSU Hospital with multiple injuries that included facial fractures and broken ribs.

Detectives have been working around the clock examining evidence, conducting research and combing the streets trying to get information on the suspect.

Investigators obtained enough evidence today to get the order to take into custody for the juvenile, which is similar to an arrest warrant for adults.

The suspect is a black male, 5'5" to 5"7" and about 130 pounds. He was last seen this morning wearing a black t-shirt and black pants. He is known to frequent the areas of Mooretown and Caddo Heights.

He has a history of violence and should be regarded as extremely dangerous.

Meanwhile, the victim is improving and has been moved out of the intensive care unit of LSU Hospital.

If anyone has information about this case, contact detectives at 673-6955.
