Bank robber turns himself in

Shreveport police have arrested one man in connection with yesterdays Capital One Bank Robbery one Greenwood Road.

Cortez, D. Lewis, DOB 7-29-1983, was booked into the city jail after he turned himself into detectives yesterday afternoon.  Lewis came to the police station after he learned police wanted to talk to him about the bank robbery yesterday.

Detectives have charged him with first degree robbery.  Lewis was charged after he was positively identified by the teller he handed a note to demanding money.
