Two arrested for afternoon shooting

Two men were arrested this afternoon on charges of illegal use of a weapon for a shooting that occurred on Huntington at Burlingame.

Reports of shots fired were called into the Caddo 911 Center at 2:30 p.m. According to witnesses at the scene, a man reportedly was shot in the foot. However, the man ran from the scene and has not been located.

Those arrested were Demarcus Morris and David Johnson. Ages and addresses are not available at this time. They are currently being transported to the Shreveport City Jail but have not yet been processed.

Both suspects were involved in the shooting, which is believed to have taken place because of an ongoing dispute between the suspects and the reported victim.
