Man wanted for first degree murder

Shreveport Police are looking for a Shreveport man on a charge of first-degree murder for the death of a 34-year-old Houston woman.

Nelson "Boo" Youngblood, 36, is wanted for the shooting death of Keisha Avery of Humble, Texas. Avery was found shot in front of a house in the 400 block of Abilene Street. She was transported to LSU Hospital but later died.

A motive for the shooting is still under investigation. No other details can be released at this time.

Youngblood is believed to live somewhere in the Cedar Grove area of Shreveport. Anyone with information about his wherabouts is asked to call detectives at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
