Shooting on Monkhouse

Shreveport police are investigating a shooting that reportedly occurred in the 5200 block of Monkhouse about 5:20 this morning.

Cory Johnson, 23, of Shreveport drove himself to LSU Hospital with a gunshot wound. He reported to police he was shot on Monkhouse, but could not provide any suspect description or explain what happened before being taken into surgery.

He is currently in stable condition. The investigation continues.
