Shooting on East Washington

Shreveport Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured two people in the 600 block of East Washington.

The incident occurred about 2:20 a.m. this morning when two men were driving away from an apartment complex. Shots were fired into their car, and 29-year-old Eric Ardison of Shreveport was struck by the gunfire. A second victim, 23-year-old Marcus Johnson of Shreveport was injured by flying glass and debris. Both were taken to LSU Hospital. The injuries are reported to be non life-threatening.

The only suspect description at this time is that the shooter was a black male. It is unknown what prompted the shooting. The investigation continues.
