Shreveport police are looking for three of six men accused of robbing a convenience store in April.
Sherman Coleman, 25, Ontario Walpool, 19, and Pierre Pennington, 19, all of Shreveport are wanted for armed robbery, burglary and illegal possession of stolen things. Coleman is facing an additional firearms penalty for his participation in the robbery.
Coleman is believed to be the armed robber who entered the Circle K store on April 17 at 3:20 a.m. in the 8500 block of Youree Drive. He got money and left in a Chevy Suburban that held the five other suspects. The Suburban had been reported stolen before the robbery.
An officer responding to the robbery call saw an SUV traveling at a high rate of speed on Youree Drive. After a brief vehicle pursuit, the vehicle crashed at an apartment complex at East Kings Highway at Southfield. At that time, all the occupants fled. The Suburban and the gun were recovered.
Officers were able to apprehend two of the suspects shortly after they fled. The two arrested were Doyle Jefferson, 21, and Donavan (aka Donald) Hobley, 18, both of Shreveport. They were booked with armed robbery, burglary and illegal possession of stolen things. Also arrested was a 16-year-old male, who was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center on the same charges.
Anyone with information on the three outstanding suspects is asked to call Detective Mike McConnell at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
