Home invasion robber sought

Shreveport police are looking for a suspect wanted for armed robbery in connection with a home invasion that occurred in the 2200 block of Dillingham in Shreveport on July 9.

John A. Newton, aka "Skinny" 24, of Shreveport has been identified as the suspect in the robbery. He is also believed to have been involved in other local robberies of individuals.

Newton is from Ohio and is currently on parole for offenses of simple robbery, possession of cocaine and possession of firearm.
