Three arrested for robbery

Three people were taken into custody this morning about 4 a.m. after police officers caught a robbery in progress at the Stoner Boat Launch.

The victim reportedly met the suspects earlier in the evening, and the suspects took him to the Stoner Boat Launch under the guise that they were going to get him some crack cocaine.

The officers saw the guy being robbed and the suspects flee the scene. Officers followed the suspect vehicle until it crashed on Southern Avenue near 70th Street. Three people fled from the vehicle and were captured. One received a bite from a police K-9, another was tased and another fell down after fleeing from the scene.

The man who robbed the victim has been identified as Charles Tillman, 22, of Shreveport. He is charged with armed robbery, along with Ladale Palmer, 25, of Bossier City and Robert Jefferson Jr., 24, of Shreveport.

Narcotics charges, as well as aggravated flight charges, are pending against the suspects.
