Reward offer raised

A coalition of Shreveport-Bossier towing operators are adding $3,000 more to a reward fund for information that leads to the arrest of a man who shot Johnny Reynolds of Renolds Towing.

Reynolds, 74, was shot at his business in the 4400 block of Greenwood Road on the morning of Sunday, July 8.

The additional $3,000 is in addition to $500 offered by a local businessman and up to $1,000 in Crime Stoppers reward money for a total of $4,500.

Police were called to the scene in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Reynolds with a gunshot wound to the back. The suspect is believed to be a black male, about 6 feet tall, 185 pounds wearing all black clothing.

The motive for the shooting is not known, although it could have been a robbery or burglary attempt.

Reynolds was taken to LSU Hospital. He is currently in serious but stable condition.
