Hunter safety course

Shreveport Police Department will be teaching Hunter's Education the week of August 20 to 25.

There will be two sessions that week. The first session will be Monday, Aug. 20, from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday,  Aug. 21, from 6 to 9 p.m. and Sat., Aug. 25th, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The second session that week will be Wed., Aug. 22, from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday,  Aug. 23 from 6 to 9 p.m., and Sat., Aug. 25, from 1 to 5 p.m.

The classes are free, but each session will be limited to 50 students.  The students must be 10 years old to receive a Hunter's Education card.

The classes will be held at the Shreveport Police Academy 6440 Greenwood Rd. The students must pre-register by calling 673-7170.
