Police reception for Whitehorn

Henry Whitehorn will be sworn in as the next Shreveport Chief of Police at a ceremony set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the Riverview Theater (formerly known as the Civic Theater) on Clyde Fant Parkway.

The public, including all officers, are invited to attend this ceremony. There will be a section of the theater reserved for officers.

In addition, there will be meet-and-greet event for the public at the theater proceeding the ceremony from 9 to 10 a.m.

That afternoon, there will be a special reception for Chief Whitehorn for all officers from 3 to 5 p.m. in the first floor lobby outside the Chief's Office.
