Woman arrested for defrauding the elderly
Shreveport Police are investigating the owner of a home health care and sitting service for defrauding senior citizens of their retirement funds.
Dianne Anderson, also known as Dianna Anderson, 39, of Shreveport was arrested Sept. 6 on a charge of felony forgery for allegedly taking checks belonging to an elderly man and writing them to her business, Anderson and Anderson Home Health Care, also called Anderson Private Duty.
At the time she entered the victim's home, she reportedly told the man that she worked for a social agency for senior citizens. She allegedly did this three times, getting away with the man's checks. The man's daughter found that there had been 17 checks written to Anderson totally $34,000.
In a similar but unrelated incident on Aug. 29, Anderson was arrested and charged with exploitation of the Infirmed. She allegedly cashed checks for an elderly woman that totaled $8,400 and attempted to cash another $3,000.
Anyone who has dealt with Anderson and believes they may have been defrauded should contact Detective Greg Rudell of the White Collar Crimes Task Force, 681-0770.
