Seatbelt insurance checkpoint

Shreveport Police will once again be enforcing seat belt usage and insurance at a checkpoint this Thursday, Aug. 16.

Officers will be stationed at an undisclosed location in North Shreveport beginning at 3 p.m.

Motorists are encouraged to have their insurance paperwork up to date and to buckle up. It's the law, but it can also help save their lives in the event of an accident.
