Police start recruiting for next police academy class

Shreveport Police Department's Recruiting Unit will take out the Mobile Command Center tomorrow in an effort to recruit police officers for the upcoming Shreveport Regional Police Academy.

 

The bus will be parked at Wal-Mart on Bert Kouns Industrial Loop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Officers will be on hand to provide applications and information about what it takes to become a member of Shreveport's Finest.

 

The next Civil Service Test that is required for all applicants is Sept. 11, so anyone considering applying must act before Aug. 21!

 

Shreveport Police is an equal opportunity employer. Applicants must be a U.S. citizens, at least 21 years of age and a valid driver's license. They should be in good general health, be of good moral character and pass an extensive background check.
