Boy charged with Aggravated Assault

Shreveport Police took into custody an 11-year-old boy yesterday for allegedly aiming a pellet gun at other children at a school bus stop.

The incident occurred about 7 a.m. Tuesday in the 3500 block of Alexander. After pointing the weapon at several of the other children waiting for their school bus, the boy took the gun back to his house and returned. They all got on the school bus and went to A.C. Steere Elementary, where a security officer was told about the incident.

The boy was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center on a charge of aggravated assault.
