Armed Robbery suspect sought

The Shreveport Police Department needs the public's help in finding a man who is wanted in connection of an armed robbery of a convience store last Friday.

On August 24 shortly before 5:00 PM patrol officers responded to an armed robbery call at the Chevron gas station in the 7400 block of Mansfield Road. According to witnesses a man fitting the description of Andre D. Ary walked into the gas station and brought a bottle drink to the counter.

When the cashier went to ring up the suspect pulled out a small caliber handgun and demanded money from the register. The cashier put an undisclosed amount of money in a McDonald's bag which the suspect had thrown at her.

Andre D. Ary has been known to frequent the 6200 block of Canal in Shreveport as well as the 2400 Block of Hoyer street in Bossier City.

Mr. Ary now has a close crop haircut instead of the one shown in his mug shot. Mr. Ary is 5'5" tall weighing approximately 175-200 pounds. Mr. Ary DOB is 8-27-1988.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr. Ary are asked to call the Detectives in the Armed Robbery Unit at 673-6955.
