Seatbelt and insurance checkpoint stats

The Shreveport Police Department arrested 5 people during a three hours seatbelt and insurance checkpoint. 4 of the arrests were for misdemeanor warrants and the 5th was a felony arrests.

During the inspection 550 vehicles were checked resulting in:

12 vehicles being impounded. 14 compulsory violations issued. 83 other citations. 2 parking citations.

the felony arrest was of a juvenile carrying a concealed weapon in possession of Marijuana. The Juvenile also had an outstanding felony warrant from juvenile court.
