Robbery arrests

Shreveport Police have closed at least four robberies with the arrests of three people.

Eddie Johnson, 34, and John Clark, 20, both of Shreveport are charged with first degree robbery for an incident at the Piccadilly restaurant in the 700 block of Shreveport Barksdale Highway.

The robbery occurred about 7:15 a.m. on Sept. 3 as the manager was opening up the buisness. After getting money, the robbers locked the manager in the cooler and fled the scene.

In unrelated cases, police captured a man believed to have robbed three businesses over the weekend. Marcus Boles, 24, of Shreveport is charged with three counts of simple robbery, resisting an officer and being a fugitive from Bossier City Police Department, who had a warrant on him for loud music.

Boles is accused of robbery China Hat in the 3600 block of Jewella, Hollywood Video in the 3600 block of Jewella and Subway in the 3500 block of Hearne Avenue. The robberies occurred Sept. 7, 8 and 9.

In each case, Boles reportedly was trying to purchase an item. When the register was open, he would grab money and flee the scene on foot.

An observant officer noticed Boles walking down the street and realized he fit the description of the robber in one of the cases and took him to the station for questioning by detectives.

An investigation is underway to determine whether Boles is a suspect in other robberies.
