Battle of the Badges Fighters Set To Weigh-in

Police Officers and Firefighters from Northwest Louisiana are prepared to slug it out in the boxing ring to see just who is No. during the 3^rd Annual Battle of the Badges at Sam’s Town Hotel and Casino.

The media and members of the public will get their first look at the fighters when they weigh in at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 21, in the Grand Ballroom of Sam’s Town Hotel and Casino, 315 Clyde Fant Parkway.

A news conference and special media passes will be provided at the weigh in, and ring girls will be there cheering for their favorite fighters.

Doors open at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 22. Fist-flying action starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30 for general admission and $50 for VIP ring-side seats. Tickets will be sold at the door, or may be purchased online at www.cityslugout.com or by calling 318-402-0417.

The first two years of Shreveport-Bossier’s Battle of the Badges have brought sellout crowds. Last year’s event raised about $10,000 for Bossier City Police and Fire Departments. Proceeds from this year’s charity event will be split among participating police and fire departments.

Fighters include members of the Shreveport Police Department, the Bossier City Fire Department and the Monroe Fire Department. Here’s the lineup:
