Class 58 fund drive

Class 58 of the Shreveport Regional Police Academy will be conducting a hamburger/hotdog/sausage fund-raiser for Habitat for Humanity this Saturday, Sept. 29.

The recruits will be at the Wal-Mart in Shreve City shopping center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost is $2.50 for a hamburger or sausage (or $5 with a drink, chips and cookie); and $1.50 for a hot dog (or $3 with drink, chips and cookie).

The recruits of Class 58 are proud and enthusiastic to raise funds to assist the Habitat for Humanity organization, which seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness. Police officers serve their communities on a daily basis, and the recruits of Class 58 embrace this opportunity as a symbol of their first of many acts of service to the city.
