Bicyclists hit by car

A man trying to cross Jewella was hit by a car and the Shreveport Police Department needs the public's help in finding the driver after he left the scene of the accident.

Shortly after 10:30 PM last night a man was trying to cross Jewella on his bike when car red or maroon car traveling northbound struck the bicyclist sending the man over the top of the car and dragging his bike over 25 feet.

Luckily the man escaped with no injuries. 

Witnesses at the scene could only describe the vehicle as a red or maroon two door car.  Evidence at the scene showed the car may be missing a headlight.
