FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Suspects arrested for felony theft

Shreveport police arrested two people for allegedly cashing in pawn tickets that were in a wallet that was reported stolen on Sept. 27.

Warren Freeman, 33, and David Pope, 52, both of Shreveport have been charged with felony theft and criminal conspiracy for a scheme that involved the cashing of the victim's three pawn tickets. The pawn tickets were for a Rolex watch, a sapphire ring and two guns. The items were valued at nearly $10,000.

The suspects reportedly got the guns out of pawn and sold them to someone in Haughton. They have since been recovered. Meanwhile, the suspects allegedly sold the other two pawn tickets to someone else for the remaining items.

Both Freeman and Pope were booked into the Shreveport City Jail, and an investigation is currently underway to find the third person involved in this incident.
