Suspects charged in church vandalism

An adult and two juveniles have been charged with criminal mischief in connection with the graffiti of the local Islamic Association in the 3700 block of Youree Drive.
 
Russell Price, 22, of Shreveport, a 16-year-old female and a 14-year-old male were issued summonses for spray painting profanity and other graffiti on the side of the Islamic Association of Arabic Inc. 

The incident occurred July 30 and went unsolved until a Crime Stoppers tip was received that gave information about the crime. The suspects stated that they did not intentionally target the Islamic faith.
 
Criminal mischief carries a penalty of not more than $500 and six months in jail. This case most likely would not have been solved without the help from a citizen that called Crime Stoppers.
