Man shot in parking garage

Shreveport police are investigating a shooting that happened about 4:25 a.m. today in the parking garage at Sam's Town Casino.

Christopher Poole, 33, of Shreveport was taken by private auto with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was transferred to LSU Hospital with a life-threatening injury and underwent surgery.

According to witnesses, some type of scuffle broke out in the garage, a gunshot was fired, and the victim was found lying on the ground.

No suspect information has been given at this time. The investigation continues.
