Stabbing victim dies

Shreveport police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred in the Haystack Apartments this morning.

Richard England, 24, of Georgia was transported to LSU Hospital of stab wounds. He later died of his injuries.

Officers were called about a man with stab wounds laying outside a doorway at the apartment complex located in the 7000 block of Fern Avenue just before 8 a.m.

Detectives are working leads in the case, but so far no arrest has been made.

England was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base. His family has been notified.
