Wreck at Youree and Archer

One person is in custody and another is in the hospital after a wreck on Youree Drive.

The incident happened shortly before 11:00 PM last night as a black Yukon was traveling northbound on Youree Drive.  As the SUV approached Archer a corvette driven by Jesusita Olvera ran a stop sign as was T-Boned.

The SUV was spun around and ended up in the right hand lane of Youree Drive facing southbound.  The Corvette was pushed over 200 feet in the northbound lane.  The collision was so hard it sent on of the Corvette's tires 250 feet in the opposite direction.

Jesusita Olvera has been charged with First Offense DWI and Failure to Yield.

One passenger in the Yukon was taken by ambulance to LSU-HSC as a precaution.
