Tactical Robbery Unit arrest

Shortly after 10:00 PM last night while patrolling an area of Shreveport officers of the Tactical Robbery Unit stopped a suspicious vehicle in front of the Daiquiri Store at Dowdell and West 70th. 

When officers made contact with the occupants of the vehicle a Glock .45 caliber with three fully loaded magazines was observed inside the car in plain view. 

Two suspects who were inside the vehicle were checked for warrants and it was determined that the passenger Derrick Jones, a black male DOB 2 February 1979 had an active arrest warrant for drug related charges. 

The weapon was seized and Jones was booked into the Shreveport City Jail.
