Robbery Operation to begin

Community Oriented Policing officers will be visiting Pines Road businesses today, distributing robbery prevention information and conducting safety checks for businesses who would like advice on how to better prevent their businesses from being robbed.

The Community Liaison Officers and members of the Tactical Robbery Unit will meet at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 14) in the Home Depot parking lot at Pines and West 70th Street.

The media is welcome to cover this effort.

For planning purposes tomorrow (Thursday), the Shotgun Squad will be out working to prevent robberies this holiday season. Media will be allowed to accompany the officers in the afternoon. As soon as they tell me where they will be, I will pass it on to you.
