Double Homicide

Shreveport police are looking into a house fire where two bodies were found in the 3100 block of Poland. 

Jacquita Mitchell, 35, of Shreveport (who also goes by Jacquita Moore) and an unidentified black male was found in the house after firefighters arrived on scene.

At this time, their deaths are being investigated as a homicide. However, their causes of death are still being determined through autopsies.

The fire occurred in the3100 block of Poland this morning about 1:18 a.m. Detectives are working to confirm the identity of the male victim. Fingerprints are being collected, and hopefully a match can be made.

No suspects have been identified at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 673-7373 or the Violent Crimes Detective's Office at 673-6955.
