Suspect charged with Obstruction of Justice

Shreveport police arrested a 25-year-old man on traffic for obstruction of justice in connection with the homicide/arson fire that occurred in the 3100 block of Poland Street Monday morning.

Officers were arresting Pat Dyas of Shreveport for five outstanding traffic-related warrants, when it was determined he interferred with the police investigation involving the deaths of 35-year-old Jacquita Mitchell and 41-year-old Cedric Davidson.

Mitchell and Davidson were both found inside a home that was set on fire, possibly to cover their deaths.

There has not been an arrest for the murders in this case. Anyone with information is asked to call the Violent Crimes Detective's Office at 673-6955 or Crime Stoppers at 673-7373.
