Shreveport Police Officer arrested

The Shreveport Police Department, today, announced the arrest of one of its current officers and one of a former SPD officer.

Sgt. Joey Willis was arrested on a warrant charging him with one count of Malfeasance in Office.

Former SPD officer, Roderick Moore was charged with one count of Conspiracy to Commit Malfeasance. Moore was arrested earlier this year during an undercover drug operation in Shreveport. Moore was later charged in Bossier Parish as a result of evidence seized in Bossier Parish during the investigation.

The current charges stemmed when investigators learned the two had obtained unauthorized information through law enforcement files that are confidential and restricted.

Chief Henry Whitehorn stated that the Department will not tolerate illegal conduct by any member of the Department and will act quickly to address such conduct when it is discovered.
