Shreveport Police need the public's help in finding the driver of a vehicle which struck and killed a teenager late last night. Shortly after 10:20 PM last night a vehicle driven by a black female was stalled out in the southbound lanes of Linwood near Corbitt. A car driven by 2 teenagers stopped to help her and another good Samaritan move her car out of Linwood's southbound traffic lanes. That's when a third car traveling southbound on Linwood rear ended the red Mazda, driven by the black female, and fled the scene. Two of the Good Samaritan were available to avoid being struck, but a third 15 year old teenager was hit head on by the car. The car, described as a dark color over a lighter color car unknown on make or model, fled the scene with the teenager still on the hood. When Officers arrived at the scene they began searching the surrounding area for the 15 year old. As they searched the area and did not find the teenager they began expanding their search perimeter in hopes of quickly finding the teenager. Nearly an hour and half later police were called to the corner of Clairborne and Dowdell for a person lying in the street. When patrol officers arrived at the scene they found the missing 15 year old dead from massive blunt force trauma. Hit and Run investigators were called and began processing both crime scenes for evidence. Hit and Run investigators would like to talk to anyone who may have driven by the corner of Linwood and Corbitt between 10:00 and 10:45 PM last night or may have driven by the corner of Clairborne and Dowdell between 11:30 PM and 12:30 AM.
