The Wastewater Division is an environmentally focused organization that meets or surpasses all governmental mandated standards to protect our environment at a cost lower than most cities in the South.

The emphasis on controlling pollutants in our environment has dramatically increased during the past two decades.  Pollution of water resources has become a major concern worlwide, and wastewater treatment is vital to pollution control, by helping to assure our future health and well-being.  The Wastewater Treatment Division's consistent pursuit of advanced technological resources and capabilities have resulted in the installation of cost-effective pollution control devices, techniques, and procedures.
