Wednesday November 7, 2007 marks one year in office for Shreveport Mayor Cedric B. Glover. A year of fast paced, high energy leadership and community building initiatives scored numerous firsts for Mayor Glover. His vision of the Next Great City of the South, put into motion innovative efforts to clean up neighborhoods, reduce crime and create a better quality of life, has Shreveport-Bossier on a path of vigorous, exciting, economic development and growth. | “November 7th we will put our foot on the clutch, look at what we’ve done, where we’re headed, shift into our second year and take off at an even higher speed,” says Glover. “There’s a lot to do, to move this City forward.” | Mayor Glover delivers his State of the City Address, Wednesday November 7, 2007 at 4:30pm at Shreveport’s Riverview Theatre. A reception will follow in Riverview Hall. | Mayor Glover’s State of the City Address will be followed by “City Hall in the Mall” an event that will bring city government to the people! It’s set for Saturday November 10, 2007 at Mall St. Vincent. Along with having the opportunity to dialogue one-on-one with City departments, residents can sign up for “10 Minutes with Mayor Glover” a chance to talk with the mayor in a private meeting. |
