Saturday, November 7, 2009 marks the beginning of a new non-stop, low-fare air service to Branson, Missouri from Shreveport Regional Airport. Flights start at $49 one-way and will operate three times a week through December 14th from Shreveport Regional to Branson Airport, which is the first privately developed and operated commercial service airport in the U. S. and located just ten minutes from the famous Branson strip. | To officially launch the new air service, Shreveport Mayor Cedric B. Glover joined members of the Airport Authority and Express Jet Airlines for a ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday, November 6, 2009 at TAC Air at Shreveport Regional Airport. | “What a great addition to what we have to offer here at Shreveport Regional,” said Mayor Glover. “I strongly urge Shreveport and Ark-La-Tex consumers to support this new service so that our community can continue to work with Branson and other communities in the near future to add even more flights from Shreveport Regional.” | Branson is world renowned as a top Christmas destination.
