Shreveport’s Director of Operational Services Mike Strong says crews have been dispatched and are currently working to repair a 10-inch water main break near the Southern Trace Community. | The break is under a large tree and has to be removed before any work can begin on the water main. | “Public Works crews are at the site to remove the tree, says Mike Strong. “The break means that homes and residents in the area will be without water for the next 2 to 4 hours. We have the materials to make the repairs and we don’t anticipate any problems.” | Mayor Cedric B. Glover is closely monitoring the situation and has alerted Shreveport Fire Chief Brian Crawford and Caddo Fire District #5. Both are on stand-by and ready to respond if needed. | ### |
