Criminal / Traffic Division

Citations covering traffic violations as well as violations on Cross Lake are processed through the City Court, Criminal / Traffic Violations Division. The Criminal / Traffic Violations Division is responsible for maintaining all criminal and traffic charges and records, collecting payment for traffic violations, handling inquiries concerning court dates, fines, and reporting traffic convictions to the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles.

Criminal records are kept on file indefinitely; this includes DWIs, hit and run, negligent injury, and loud music. Traffic records are kept for three years.
