Crime Victims

Anyone can become a victim of crime. Any day. Any night. Anytime.
  • If you become a victim, don't just ignore it, hoping the problem will go away.
  • First of all, call police and report it. Then, if you need further assistance, ask for help. There are a number of wonderful resources out there for you!
  • The direct, tangible costs to crime victims are estimated to be about $105 billion each year. That includes medical expenses, lost earnings, and public program costs related to victims assistance.
  • Pain, suffering, and reduced quality of life increase the cost to $450 billion annually.
