Mayor Ollie Tyler and SPAR are keeping bond projects on track with the next renovation to occur at Mamie Hicks Community Center, located at 200 Mayfair Street.

The center will be closed for renovations beginning Thursday. Renovations will include a 2,000 foot expansion and cosmetic upgrade. The project is expected to be completed at the start of next year.

“We’re moving ahead with projects the voters approved,” said Mayor Tyler. “This renovation will provide a much nicer facility for our citizens to enjoy.”

The staff and all programming at the Mamie Hicks Center will be relocated to David Raines Community Center, located at 2920 Round Grove. For questions regarding this transition, please contact David Raines Community Center at 318-673-5342.
