4th Annual Summer Recital, “A Night in Hollywood”, Thursday, July 23 at 6 PM. SPAR Therapeutic is hosting their 4th annual summer recital at Princess Park Community Center (931 Baker). The recital features singing and dancing performances by the SPAR Therapeutic Recreation clients. The event is free and open to the public.

Unity in the Community, Time for a Change event at SPAR’s Bilberry Park Community Center (1902 Alabama), Friday, July 24 from 3 PM to 6 PM. This event is designed to bring the Queensborough neighborhood to stop the violence, to instill pride in the community and provide assistance to those in need. The event will feature fun, food, dancing, music and fellowship. It is free and open to the public.

Free Fridays Forever in the Red River District featuring “Freddie Robinson Band”, Friday, July 24. Come down to the Red River District and enjoy live music featuring “Freddie Robinson Band” from 5 PM to 8 PM. The Red River District is under the Texas Street Bridge, conveniently located next to the Eldorado parking garage with handicapped accessibility on both the west and east ends of the district. Shreveport Artists’ Market, July 25, in the Red River District. The market will feature over 30 local artists. The market is open from 9 AM to 1 PM. In addition to the artists, there will be a children’s area. And, the tenants in the Red River District will be open.

Last Saturday in the District Festival, July 25 in the Red River District. Come celebrate all things art at the Last Saturday festival. The festival is from 9 AM to 2 PM and will feature live entertainment, activities for the kids, music and more. The festival is free and open to the public. Families are welcome!

Sunday, July 26, is the last day to swim at SPAR Swimming Pools! The pools at Airport Park, Cockrell, David Raines and Querbes will close July 26. The pool at Southern Hills will remain open through Labor Day.

SPAR Therapeutic Inclusion Cheerleading Camp is July 28 – 30 at Princess Park. The camp is from 9 AM to 12 noon daily. The camp is open to girls, any age. It is free and open to the public. To register, contact SPAR Therapeutic Recreation at 318-673-7815.
