National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.

Shreveport-Bossier City Night Out is celebrated throughout the City of Shreveport. More than 200 city blocks usually participate in the annual Shreveport-Bossier City Night Out, which takes place the first Tuesday of every October. Sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, and co- sponsored by the Shreveport Police Department, the nationwide event is designed as a time for neighbors to get to know each other to prevent crime and drug use in their communities.
