Jashawnna Barfield has 4 years’ experience with the City of Shreveport Fire Department. Jashawnna began her career with the department on August 17, 2017, as an Administrative Assistant. Throughout her career she transitioned to Management Assistant.
Jashawnna assists with (CALEA) Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies which SFD has been accredited since 2003 as the first Fire Communications Center in the Country. In order to maintain this certification and succeed, you must have a team willing to participate in the process. They received this award for the 5th year in 2019 because of Jashawnna Barfield serving as one of their team players. Jashawnna assists with processing ID’s for SFD members and all equipment such as Radio, Pagers, and Cell Phones for SFD.
Jashawnna graduated from Huntington High School in 2006. In 2017, she earned her Associates in Business Management from Southern University Shreveport. Jashawnna is a lifelong resident of the City of Shreveport. She is the daughter of Diane Wallace. She has 3 daughters. She enjoys spending time with her daughters, family, friends, going to church, and traveling the world.
