Collections
The Solid Waste Division is responsible for the collection of garbage and trash from residences and some businesses in Shreveport and Bossier city. In order to receive these services your home and/or business must be located within the City Limits of Shreveport.
Landfill
The city owns the Woolworth Road Landfill located at:
10580 Woolworth Road
Keithville, LA 71047
The facility is operated by the City of Shreveport, however the maintenance of the facility is handled by a contractor. The city assures that the landfill meets all state and federal environmental requirements.
Recycling
The City of Shreveport's recycling program is called Just Curb It. This program began in 2011 and is still going strong. For more details on this program go to our recycling web page or visit the Just Curb It website.
Schedule Changes
Any changes in schedules, due to Holidays and/or City Wide Emergencies, will be posted on the Public Works Calendar.
