The Shreveport Fire Department is always looking for young men and women who want to become ‘Pillars in our Community’ as Shreveport Firefighters. There is a process in becoming a Shreveport firefighter. First is taking the Louisiana State Firefighter Civil Service Test. This test is given throughout the state of Louisiana in various places. The next and closest test will be given on February 13, 2019, in Elm Grove, La. This the opportunity for you to take on the challenge of becoming a Shreveport Firefighter.
As a Shreveport firefighter, we are also Emergency Medical Technicians EMT’S. There are steps to becoming a firefighter that will greater your chances of being hired with Shreveport Fire. During the next few months, you can prepare yourself by taking the Civil Service Test (1st) and enrolling at one of these local colleges for the summer (2019) and become a Nationally registered EMT’s. This will definitely greater your chances at becoming a Shreveport Firefighter.
