The City of Shreveport will close offices on Tuesday due to inclement weather and icy roads.Only emergency staff will report for duty.   SporTran will suspend services during the day Tuesday and reevaluate road conditions for possible evening services to begin at 7 p.m. Trash and recycle pick up will resume once road conditions improve this week.  The Shreveport Regional Airport and Downtown Airport will both remain open. However, many flights are cancelled. Passengers should contact specific airlines for details on flights. Public Works will continue to treat bridges and elevated structures on city roadways with a mixture of sand and salt.  Fire and Police departments will remain available as emergency situations develop. The City Council will meet as scheduled at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Council Chambers.
